Indie to Eery?

Welcome back, Sappies. We're finally at the editing stage in which we have to pick some music for our opening sequence.

Since the beginning, the plan was to get some super chill, almost oldish music and then make it eery. Our inspiration came from movies such as Don't Worry Darling and The Killer. They used songs with beats like The Smiths or simply songs from the 90's. With time, the editors edited the music to make it sound eery and give off an uneasy feeling. We have the same goal for this audio. So, we've come to the conclusion that in order to do that, this indie sound works best. It has a slight hint of eeriness that you could definitely manipulate to make suspenseful. It's like a slight hum that with editing can be singled out. For this we want to use one audio rather than multiple in order to create a transition from calm and normal to scary and suspenseful. Of course this beat would smoothly transition throughout the scene and not be harsh and all at once. This subtle change helps the audience to subconsciously hear the change of genre but also make it so that they do not realize the exact moment in which the music has changed. Of course this music is free and from youtube so there was no need to contact any company for rights. Nonetheless, I think it is right to give the name of the video and creator. The video is titled '[FREE] Indie Rock x Current Joys x Bedroom Pop Type Beat- "Days"' by bloom.

That's all for this blog. An indie song for Here For You. I hope you agree with our music choice, Sappies. See you for editing!

XOXO,

    Char
