Reflection

Image
Hey, Sappies. In today's blog we'll be reflecting on the Charmmercial. Why? Because it's essential for progress and success. So, let's get straight into the following questions, "What technology did you learn to use?", "What did you learn about the process of putting a project together?", and "What do you think you can do to make the next project better?". While I already knew how to edit, I did learn a lot throughout the process of editing and putting this commercial about myself together. I learned how to add transitions in CapCut since I had never used them before. I explored many transitions as there was so much to choose from. I also learned how to add audios of my own, since I chose a specific song that I liked and not one given by CapCut itself. I also accidentally made one of my clips 0.1 seconds long, and because of that I couldn't click on the clip without CapCut thinking I wanted to add a transition. So because of that, I had

Hey, Sappies. Welcome to the end of this masterpiece. Where I show you the end result of the project with many production blogs, that I know you've been waiting long for.  The Charmmercial.  Hope it meets your expectations. (It will.) Till next time. XOXO,     Char

Production Blog: Final Touches

Image
Hey, Sappies. Here with the final production blog of the Charmmerical is, your best friend Char, here to end your misery because I know this has grown tiring. To read production blog after production blog with practically the same storyline is annoying, but, sorry not sorry because today won't be any better. But...it's the last one for a while so at least take that into account. Anyway, let's just get straight into it. By now, our project is looking pretty good. But, there are some things that we can add to make it look better. First, I think it's looking a bit choppy. Some things are just a fraction of a second too short or too long, more text could be inserted in some places, and we should add some sorts of pauses for when we end and begging our show. So I started off by messing around with some clips. Even if it was by a millisecond, I shortened and lengthened some photos/videos. Including the intro and the actual project. I also decided to add two black screens. On

Production Blog: Transitions

Image
Hey, Sappies. Here again, Char, on the creation of the Charmmercial. Today's topic being the transitions of this wonderful art piece. Last time, we ended off on the text portion, but today we'll be talking about something more worthwhile. At least something less boring. Now, to be completely honest, transitions can be pretty cringe. And with the limited sources CapCut gives us, it was hard to choose. But because I'm practically an expert, the final product looks beautiful. (If cringe could be made to look beautiful.) So with that, let's just get right into it. I started off experimenting with simple transitions, like fades and glitches. But I soon realized that if I wanted people to find my commercial interesting I was going to have to do more than that. I continued to mess around with the tools and realized that, yeah, my commercial was going to have to be a bit cringe. Just because. I moved around a few of the pictures and videos and then clicked on the white square w

Production Blog: Text

Image
Hey, Sappies. Back at it again, is Char, continuing the production of the Charmmercial.  Yesterday, we left off on the start of the stars of the shows, the pictures and videos from my Research/Planning Blog. But today, we've made a bit of progress. Just like any movie or show you've seen, the beginning usually starts off with text before the movie/show starts. Text that gives credit to the producers, co-producers, costume designers, editors, etc. Similarly, the 'intro' part of my commercial is just that. So, when editing in CapCut, I first clicked on the "Text" button option on the bottom. Continuing, I clicked on the "Add text" button and started typing. With time, after figuring out exactly what I was going to say and have as my text, I got to the look portion of it. I chose the font "Shadow Beamer" and started to mess with the colors. I wasn't too sure what colors I wanted, but I did know that I wanted a chill mix. Something with a

Production Blog: Commencement

Welcome back, Sappies. In today's blog we'll be going over the beginning of the creative process for my commercial. Better know as the Charmmercial.  Per usual, I'm using CapCut to edit my clips together. No this is not sponsored, but CapCut is truly the best free editing app I've used. Take the advice from someone who loves to edit. Anyways, Sappies, first up is the intro. Now, me, I am not one for boring intros. I cannot stand when a commercial has a boring start. That is the exact reason the "Skip Ad" button exists. The point of my commercial though, is to have a cute start. So that you don't feel like clicking that button. So to be a bit creative, I first started off with a long horizontal black screen, super cute. (For those of you in need of some help, that's called sarcasm.) I added the rest of my clips- the photos and videos- in order to have them all lined up horizontally, to really give my commercial that "on a TV" sort of effect. I

Hey, Sappies. Did you miss me? Well, I'm back. Here to give you the details on this introduction of me and my life, is well, me. Let's just get straight into it. I've chosen five pictures of myself, two videos with me in them, and one song which fits the vibe. The five pictures show a bit of every side of me. The silly, sporty, and fancy side. The videos are me looking cute, since, why would I ever cause a scandal by posting anything hideous of me? And the song is something of my own taste. 4/5 of the pictures are me by myself. One of me kayaking, one of me skating, one of me in Altar'd State and one of me at a restaurant for Valentine's Day dinner. The last picture is of me with my cousin at a restaurant after shopping all day, which captures my personality and hobbies perfectly. I've gone kayaking once, but it's so peaceful and calming. The sound and smell of nature is what makes the experience just perfect. I've been skating ever since I lived in Bro

Hey, Sappies, it's Char. And today, I have a little intro for you.            Now, wh ile I am more than sure that you'd love to hear of all the juicy scandals coming your way, let me give you a little background first.      My name is Charlize, but you can call me Char. I'm a Scorpio, but not too into all of that horoscope stuff. I love watching soccer and idolize Messi but, I also play the sport myself, as a right back defender. I'm Peruvian from both part of my parents and love to embrace my culture. While my ambitions are constantly changing, I currently aspire to become a producer or work in some area of film production in a leadership role. My academic success means everything to me, and while I am my biggest supporter, I am also my biggest hater. I love to bake pastries such as cakes, cookies, cinnamon rolls, muffins, pionono (a Peruvain dessert), etc. I also love to read. (Too much.) From romance to thrillers, a good book will keep me glued to my bed all da
