Production Blog: It All Comes to an End

Hey, Sappies. It's me, Char. I know I sort of left you midway through the editing process in my blog... So I'm here to make things right. Today we'll be getting into the scene editing portion of the music video.

So first off, Valentina and I had to decide what clips we wanted to use for the music video. We checked with Sabrina on which clips we should keep and which ones we should lose. We decided to get rid of a soccer scene, gift scene, and conversation scene. This means six clips weren't included since each scene was filmed twice with both Sabrina and I. The reason we filmed each scene twice, the exact same concept, with different girls was because we wanted to give the impression that Parker was playing Sabrina and I in the exact same way. We decided to keep our beginning scene of a 'get ready with me' and clips of Sabrina and I getting gifts and boba from Parker, walking with him, playing football with him, and writing in our diaries about him. We tried to get these as perfectly close to each other as possible to further enhance how Parker played us. We also tried to our best to line up the scenes with the audio. When the song said "feed her appetite", Parker was giving Sabrina boba. When it said "pretending to feel the same", the first clip of what Parker did what Sabrina switched to Parker and I. This shows that he pretended to like us both. When it said "and her heart is breaking in front of me", Sabrina caught me and Parker together, and the truth was revealed that he had been dating both of us at the same time. Valentina also had the idea to do a split screen moment in which the audience could get a view of both Sabrina and I's diaries and how we were both falling for Parker. Other clips were beating up Parker and showing him beaten up. The clip of him beaten was zoomed out.
