Production Blog: The Basics of Editing

Hey, Sappies! What's up? Today we'll be focusing on the editing process of this beautiful beginning of a film. In order to not stress you out on the actual length of editing though, i'll be splitting this up into two blogs on two separate days. I'm not trying to stress you out more than I've already done so. So now, we'll be getting into the basics of editing. I'm saving any sound stuff like voice over and music for the next blog since that's a bit more lengthy. In this blog we'll be talking about the editing of clips. So similar to the music video, I went over to Valentina's house since we're using her software to put this all together. We first started by exporting all the clips onto her computer and then opened Movavi to get started. We started by arranging all the clips where they were supposed to go and deciding what we wanted to keep and what we wanted to get rid of. Production Blog: It's Done!

Hey, Sappies, it's me. Here to let you know that it is done. We are finally finished with filming! It's taken a long time to get here, but we're super proud of our work, we've done a lot to get to this point and we hope that it is up to your guys' expectations. (Hopefully surpasses them.)  The last of our filming was done at the Bulegreen Yard Cafe. We last finished off with filming Madeline driving away on her way to work at Valentina's house. Today, we filmed Madeline's second car scene outside of the cafe. Then we filmed some scenes of her walking in, wiping tables, and of course handing me my coffee. We did run into some issues though, as we weren't allowed behind the counter due to health risks and violations. Still, in order to look the part, Sabrina wore an apron with a name tag and was able to at least look and act the part according to the manager.      - What titles are displayed during the opening sequences?  The label/Production company, the names of those who presented the film, the title of the film, the filmmaker, the photographer/filmer, the distributor, editor, assistant director, camera operator, assistant art director, advisor, production manager, sound supervisor, sound recorder, assembly cutter, make-up, hairdressing, wardrobe, produced and directed by  - What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?  No image in particular. The film was created in 1949, which means there were certain editing and technological limitations to what the opening scene would be like. An image of a large clock and and certification document were the only two images other than a simple background for the titles. - How does the film establish a feeling of the genre?
